点评:This zoo is huge! I had heard good things about it so we were excited to visit with our kids ages 13 and 11. We spent 3 hours here and didn't do any of the extra cost attractions. At first we were disappointed at one of the first places you come to from the parking lot, the large African animals exhibit. It seems you have to pay to get much of a close experience to these animals. You have a distant viewing platform unless you want to pay to go out to the giraffe feeding area (yes, you have to pay even if you don't want to feed them), pay for the ariel adventure course, or pay to take the train around the exhibit.
But things got better once we took the bridge over the road to the rest of the zoo. Not only is there a huge aviary, but also a big aquarium and a natural history museum. By the time we got to the museum, we were pretty tired so we kind of rushed through it. We certainly could have spent more time here!
A lot of food stalls seemed to be closed, maybe because it was a weekday in October, but there were a lot of people here. The reptile house was also closed for renovations until 2026 so we had to miss out on that. But we still saw plenty! I could definitely see us going back again in the future!
