点评：Käthe Wohlfahrt is one of the most famous maker of Christmas ornaments and decorations in the world. The business was founded in 1964 and is based here in Rothnburg ob der Tauber. They have two shops across the street from each other along Herrngasse just to the west of Marktplatz. This particular shop is their famous Christmas Village branch, their global flagship and the store is huge.
Käthe Wohlfahrt is known for their traditional and hand-craft Christmas items and the shop is open year round for those interested in purchasing Xmas related purchases while sightseeing around the Old Town. This particular shop also includes a German Christmas Museum which is open from 10am to 5pm daily. Otherwise, you can walk through and view numerous displays of many of their thousands of products. We recently walked through and spent nearly 30 minutes browsing through the shop.
Note: The second shop just across the street is basically a surplus shop with more of their product line. If you haven't seen enough at the main shop, you can pop into this second ship for an additional look around.
