Absolutely wonderful day!
赫斯特城堡的点评
点评：My husband and I took the Kitchen and Cottages tour on his birthday. We had purchased tickets online, but we still had to check-in and get bracelets when we arrived. There were snacks and coffee available for purchase. However, get there with plenty of time to finish eating and drinking. The bus ride up the hill was spent listening to a recording of the late Alex Trebek. The recording was informative and timed to the specific route.
We were greeted at the castle by our guide. She introduced herself (she remembered our names throughout the tour, impressive!) Her name was Donnelle. She was charmingly witty and overflowing with detailed information on every little thing. She told us stories about so many intricacies of each room. We felt as though we had slipped back in time to a place where dreams were built, beautified, and flourished. She was energetic and enthusiastic. That was helpful because I get kind of bored when listening to someone who seems monotonous. She kept us engaged! So thankful for that. I feel like I learned so much.
The bus ride back mimicked the ride up. We were then greeted by employees trying to sell us souvenir photos they captured before our tour. We thought it looked commercialized, so we opted to enjoy and remember the day with our own photos. Our guide even took a few of us at the castle.
There are several tours to choose from. This is our third tour, and the best so far! We will be back.
