Compass Diving的点评
点评：We had a wonderful 2 week stay at the Compass Eco-lodge on Atauro Island in August. The diving and snorkelling was exceptional — healthy, diverse, coral reefs full of interesting life. Local dive sites are within 5-10 mins boat ride. Other sites in the South or on the western side are longer travel times but provide great views of the island from the water. We also snorkelled straight off the beach in front of Compass to see interesting sea grass communities and beautiful coral reef.
The dive guides are wonderful. Our main guide was Ywen, full of enthusiasm and good spirit, couldn’t do enough to ensure we had an enjoyable experience. We always felt safe with Ywen and the amazing boat crew. In fact the whole team at the resort were terrific. We stayed in the brand new safari tents which were very comfortable, with big windows and kept cool by the thatched roof above and a pedestal fan inside. Good mattress on the floor, clean bedding, shared bathrooms with hot water. There was a good variety of food and plenty of it. Excellent breakfast included in room rate with fresh pancakes, fruit, fried bananas, eggs, bacon and more. There is a good library of marine books and novels. We spent many enjoyable hours looking up the creatures we had seen. The dive equipment area is keep very clean and tidy and the gear is washed and dried well. We appreciated all the work done to get us out on the water each day. The swept out bus, clean gear, scuba tanks filled and loaded, snacks for longer trips. Really we can’t say enough good things. We travelled to and from Atauro on the public ferry which was very comfortable. We enjoyed the locals strumming guitars and singing. We chatted with fellow travellers, saw flying fish and whales. Atauro Island is low key, unspoilt, far from the crowds. Would definitely stay with Compass again.
