Mostly great accessibility, they just need a new ramp

点评：Some friends of ours have booked to get married here this year. I'm a wheelchair user, so I emailed them to enquire about their accessibility for the wedding areas. The venue actually called me to arrange going in to check out the accessible in person. They directed me to the accessible entrance on the call. When I got there, I was shown to the lifts. The lifts are a decent size, with a large mirror at the back, but enough room for wheelchairs to turn round. When on the right floor I was met by a registra, who showed me the room. I was quite impressed by the accessibility of the venue, especially with it's age. There is a disabled toilet on the 3rd floor, where the wedding ceremony rooms are, right near the lifts. It's only small for a disabled toilet, but enough room to fot a small/medium sized wheelchair with turning space. There is a lock button, rather than a traditional handle lock. With a push to open button on the inside and out, which I thought was great. The only issue that I came across was that the ramp to a spot for photos wasn't great. It was too short and made my footplates scrape at the bottom, then I couldn't get back up it. But the registra and I discussed this and he said he would look into getting a better ramp. So overall a gorgeous venue, with great acces and lovely staff.
