Sandspit的点评
点评：Another annual visit to Sandspit while staying on the Island — and as always, the services, staff, and facilities were all spot‑on. Solid 10 out of 10 on that front.
But the experience this year… definitely less. We’re getting down to the last few years where the kids still want to go before they outgrow this classic spot, and this visit hit different. My kid was heckled while shooting baskets — “you suck,” “air ball,” the usual nonsense — from spectators who clearly had nothing better to do. She ignored it, brushed it off, and still walked away with a huge prize, but it shouldn’t have happened in the first place.
Then I took my youngest on the go‑karts, and that’s where things really went downhill. A small group decided the track was their personal demolition derby — full‑speed bumping, ramming, ignoring staff warnings. It got so bad the staff had to cut the race short. I spent the whole time just waiting for it to end so I could get off and leave. That was officially my last go‑kart experience at Sandspit.
To be clear, the park was full of families from all cultures — love that. But the staff needs to be better prepared to deal with obvious unruly groups. This shouldn’t have been tolerated. Those kids should’ve been kicked off the track instead of everyone else suffering through it. They did offer my kid three free baskets at the basketball game to make up for the earlier rudeness, which I appreciated.
Overall, I still love the park — but unless staff are better equipped to handle this kind of behaviour, I hope I never have to return.

需要说明的是，公园里到处都是来自不同文化背景的家庭——这点真不错。不过工作人员需要做好更充分的准备来应对那些明显行为失范的群体。这种情况本不应被容忍。那些孩子理应被赶出赛道，而不该让其他所有人都跟着遭殃。后来他们为了弥补之前的失礼行为，还给我的孩子提供了三个免费的篮球游戏篮筐，对此我挺感激的。
总的来说……我依然喜欢那个公园——但除非工作人员能更好地应对这类行为，否则我希望再也不用回去了。
