Fabulous Flamingos - and so much more!

点评：We came for the flamingos, but the rest of the park held so many treats too. A really enjoyable visit.
A well staged, almost theatrical birds of prey demo is not to be missed. The first bird swooping overhead to the strains of "Circle of Life" was breathtaking. After the demo, it was lovely to be able to see the birds up close.
Otter feeding was quite the spectacle too, and it was great to be able to see this through the windows of the café. (Speaking of which, it was good that they were happy to make a gluten free sandwich to order for my wife so she didn't go hungry.)
Even the train ride was great fun - and enjoyable to spot all the dinosaurs dotted around the park too. The grounds are very well kept and nice to explore. With lots of children's activities/soft play too (which we didn't do, barring the train) this park would be ideal for a family day out. The layout of the park also meant that the children's activities didn't obscure or distract from enjoyment of the animals.
It was really all about the flamingos, though, and we spent time enjoying seeing them in their lovely garden enclosure - and staff members Archie and Nick spotted our flamingo shirts, kindly presenting us with some shed flamingo feathers to take home! Really rounded off the visit perfectly.
