The Ithaca Farmers Market is fun but a victim of its own success

点评：I went to the Ithaca’s Farmers Market when I visited Ithaca over the weekend. While it was fun to see the vendors and got to see all the interesting wineries and artists but the crowds were so huge that you could barely walk around. The crowds were huge, the traffic was really bad and the prices of prepared foods were way over-priced.
You could barely use the bathrooms with the very long lines. Sandwiches and prepared foods were over-priced and the lines were twenty deep. It was very uncomfortable.
On the positive side, the vendors had a lot creative wares that were interesting to see. There are lots of local wines, produce and baked goods that are high quality. When I visited the market when I was a student ten years ago, I never saw these crowds before. Maybe they should change the hours to make it longer than 3:00pm.
Its diversity of product’s is what makes this market so popular. That and the local musicians who entertained us.
