Massive and Impressive but Much Easier to Visit
General Grant Tree Trail的点评
点评：This is one of the most incredible and impressive trees in the world. It stands as the second largest tree, only 150 cubic meters less than the Sherman tree; however, its popularity is far less than the Sherman tree. When we had the opportunity to visit Grant Grove, this tree seemed incredibly massive, both wide and tall. I had visited the Sherman tree 3 times before including once earlier that day, and I was surprised to learn that the Sherman is taller but the Grant is wider at the bottom. Grant Grove, which holds several impressive trees, appears to be dominated by this tree directly in its center.
In many ways, the Grant tree is as impressive to see in person as the Sherman. However, both the Grant tree and grove see a fraction of the guest who visit the Sherman and the Giant Forest. While I fully realize the draw to see the largest living organism, this is an equally impressive and humbling grove to visit.
