Ragin Cajun Airboat Tours的点评
点评：We did the 10 AM tour with hotel pick-up and drop-off, which I booked about five months in advance. About five minutes before pick-up, I got a call and text from the company saying the shuttle was overbooked and they’d be sending an Uber instead, at their cost. They handled it quickly, but it did make me a little uncomfortable not having the usual safety and tracking features you get when booking a rideshare yourself. With that much notice, I was a bit disappointed they hadn’t better planned for hotel pick-ups.
Once we arrived (with about five minutes to spare), everything turned around. Our guide, Steven, was fantastic — you could tell he grew up in the area and genuinely cared about the wildlife and the swamp. He shared so many interesting facts about the habitat, trees, and animals that I never knew before.
We did the 6-person airboat and it was awesome! Some people might find the wind a little cool, but I thought it was refreshing — sun on your face, wind in your hair, and gorgeous views all around. We saw alligators and raccoons, and the old trees in the area were incredible.
I had read that you might get wet or muddy, but we didn’t have any issues. I’d still recommend closed-toe shoes, just in case. We brought rain jackets and water-resistant clothes, but it wasn’t really needed since it didn’t rain. Boarding and getting off the boat was from a deck, so no mud at all.
Overall, the tour was absolutely worth it — great price, great experience, and an amazing guide. Despite the hiccup with the pick-up, I’d definitely recommend this tour!
