The Last Chance Mine was one of the highlights of our trip to Creede! The tour was fascinating, and our guide, Bobby, did an outstanding job bringing the history of the mine to life with the perfect mix of knowledge, storytelling, and humor. Walking through the mine gave us a whole new appreciation for what miners endured and the rich history of the area.
If you're a rockhound or geology enthusiast, this is a must-do. We learned so much about the local minerals from Michelle, our geology intern, and mining history ftom the owner, Jack, and it gave us a much better understanding of what we were seeing while exploring Bachelor Loop and rockhounding around Creede. It made our entire adventure even more meaningful.
Everyone was friendly and welcoming, and you can tell they truly love preserving and sharing this incredible piece of Colorado history. Whether you're interested in history, mining, geology, or just want a unique experience, I highly recommend making the Last Chance Mine part of your Creede visit!
