谢尔登尼亚剧院的点评
点评：Towards the end of a busy day in Oxford, we decided to visit the Theatre and what a joy it was! The two young ladies at the reception desk were very friendly and gave us a potted history of the theatre and then we were left to our own devices to explore this lovely building. We went all over the auditorium and examined the decorations and seating, not forgetting the ceiling - hand held mirrors are available which enable you to view the painted panels without straining your neck! We then started to go up the stairs to the cupola however, although well lit, the stairs have no handrails and the surface is a bit uneven, so my friend decided not to go up as she felt a bit unsteady. The views were outstanding although it was starting to rain heavily and the visibility was not good. The free leaflet gives you the location of points of interest in all directions!
