约克城堡博物馆的点评
点评：What a gem of a museum this is! Full of surprises around every corner. This really has something for all to enjoy.
There are rooms to explore from the past 200+ years, set out as they would have been in houses of different classes, which is so interesting. I loved seeing the 1980’s kitchen which included brands that I still see in my parents kitchen today!
The streets were beautiful also. All dressed up for Christmas too so walking on cobblestones and peering into Victorian shop windows was made extra special with the addition of fake snow and wreaths hanging on doors. And then to see the 1960’s street was an extra surprise, seeing pop culture icons and stylish fashions was really interesting.
And then there was the old jail to walk around, to listen to the stories of real prisoners in history was a nice touch, and to walk into the cells themselves, as dark and dingy as they were, brought their stories to life. What a fantastic place this is! The people of York are very lucky to have this.
