A BEAUTIFUL PLACE TO REBOOT

点评：I stayed at the Elandsberg Wilderness Camp. It was magnificent. Very peaceful with views all around. Bed was comfortable. Good shower. There is a double bed in the bedroom and 2 sleeper couches in the lounge. This cottage runs off solar and there is gas. It’s a perfect place to reboot as there is no internet connection at all.
Be aware that the R355 leading up to this place is hectic. It’s corrugated, damaged from flooding and snowfalls in July 2024 and there are areas of sharp stones which cause punctures. Probably best to drive slowly to avoid damaging one’s car. The travel time from Cape Town is not 4 hours. So don’t be misled by Google Maps, as I was!! Take wood if you plan to make a fire.
(If you are using a laptop, camera, other – all plug points are for a 3-point plug).
However, if you can get there, it is well worth the trip! You will be totally re-energised by the veld, the silence and the Milky Way in the night sky😁
