Great day in the Ourika Valley & mountains
4X4骆驼——私人一日游的点评
点评：We had a great experience from start to finish. I was septically looking for a private tour that would take us to a local Ourika Valley market. Adil was quick to reply and explain the itinerary. We did not have to give a deposit.
The day before the tour, he messaged me to confirm our pick-up location and time, and guide Aziz was there as planned. We had a long and fantastic day. First we stopped just out of Marrakech to admire the scenery and see a small Berber town. Then we continued to the Ourika market, which was just fascinating. Next we walked into the village to have tea at a Berber family home (bring money to tip them). It was the best tea of our trip, and they also served fresh bread with local butter and honey. After that we continued up the mountain to have lunch overlooking Mount Toubkal in a stunningly gorgeous setting - cozy couches and low tables with view of the mountains and some mountain goats. Our son loved running around there. After that was a planned stop at an argan oil cooperative, but we chose to skip it and stop instead at an artisan store close to the city which Aziz recommended for my husband to buy a lantern. We didn't end up buying it, but we really appreciated being able to go in with a local. There was no stop at a carpet factory despite what many people warned me about!
Aziz spoke great English and was a wealth of knowledge about everything from the food to the traditions of the area. He was great with our young son, also.
I looked at a million different tour companies but super glad we chose this one!
