A bit disappointing to no longer have a practice facility in Stowe but an enjoyable 9 holes none the less.

点评：The course is under construction so only the back 9 was available. Still, the biggest disappointment after many years of enjoying the practice facilities, they were no longer open to the public unless you were also going to play. After a day of hiking, it was a pleasure to go hit a few balls on the range...no more unless I also have the time for at least nine holes. So, I signed up to play nine holes in the pro shop once with the officious desk lady and then hit the range for about 20 minutes before teeing it up. The starter was friendly and advised me of the lay of the land but I still got lost a couple of times because there were no signs on the t boxes or a map of the holes on the scorecard.
I enjoyed the course because the fairways were forgiving and the scenery was swell but with the hilly terrain and a couple of blind driving holes, I hit a few balls exactly where I wanted to and was disappointed when I arrived at my ball. Perhaps, I should have asked the grumpy lady at the desk or the sociable starter for a map of course layout, but it would have been nice if the team had thought of it. I might have dropped a couple of shots,
