It's still a construction site, folks.
SaxaVord SpacePort的点评
点评：Please be aware that the Space Port buildings at Saxa Vord are the old RAF base buildings that are now used for contractors and staff accommodation, storage and an office block for the Space Port business.
There aren't any visitor facilities on site, I think some of the confusion may be that there is stuff online relating to a previous business that ran hostel accommodation, restaurant and a small visitor centre. All gone, I'm afraid.
But the Shetland Gin business onsite is alive and doing well, and still open to the public.
So there's nothing to see or do at this site for the public at the moment - all the focus is on construction at the launch site - which is about two miles away. And again, there's nothing there for the public as it is a construction site and as such there's no public access.
I believe that once the project is operating fully, there are plans for a small visitor centre - but I have no idea when that would be. I'd suggest checking their own website for any updates.
I hope the above helps avoid any disappointment!
