点评：I regret visiting Bear Country U.S.A. What I saw didn’t feel like a sanctuary — it felt like a drive-through attraction prioritizing profit over the animals’ well-being.
One bear stood out: he walked in front of every car at the final gate, seemingly trained to space out the traffic. It was eerie — like he was stuck in a loop, conditioned to perform. We also saw four cubs behind glass without their mothers, and wolves that looked mentally checked out. One made eye contact with our car, then laid back down like it had given up.
Cars were bumper to bumper the entire time — hundreds of engines and brake sounds. That’s the animals’ daily environment. For how much they make off of a single car surely they could afford to limit the animals’ exposure!
The landscaping and gift shop were well done, but none of that makes up for the sad reality these animals face. I paid $65 to support something I now wish I hadn’t. Once you notice what’s really going on, it’s impossible to unsee.
