点评:What a weird museum... This museum has the most random assortment of exhibits, from movie memorabilia to collections of coffee creamer lids to ventriloquist dummies. It's also massive so you can spend a good couple of hours looking at everything (I think that's why it's so cold in some parts--the museum is mostly underground). The signs were in English, but a lot of the items had no explanations. I would have enjoyed the museum more if there were more background information on where the items came from, their history, etc. So in that sense it was more like looking at someone's house full of stuff than being in a museum. Unfortunately, the Rockafire Explosion was under maintenance when we were there, so we didn't get to see that, which I would have loved. We were able to get here pretty easily on the train from Appenzell. I believe they don't get many American tourists so this is a bit "off the beaten path"; the owner does speak English, though. To me, this wouldn't be a top thing to do in the area, but if you are in eastern Switzerland for more than a few days, and especially if the weather is bad, it's definitely something unique to do!
