点评：I have walked some sections of this trail during August and found it pleasantly rural and attractive. I covered various sections between Earls Barton and Peterborough. Through Northamptonshire the trail is very well way-marked but in Peterborough the trail is not so clearly defined in parts. Public transport is a bit thin on the ground in parts but the section between Earls Barton and Higham Ferrers is served by a good bus service. the section between Thrapston and Oundle I did as two circulars using other parts for my return. For the section from Warmington to Peterborough I used an early bus out from Peterborough for the long walk back via Fortheringhay and Wansford. The trail was well defined through Northamptonshire but on the approach to Peterborough there is a certain amount of guesswork which way the trail actually goes. By far the biggest highlight on this section is Fortheringhay Church and its assoicated history. There are tea rooms on this long section at Yanwell Mill and Wansford Station with toilets at the latter.
