点评:Visited this two-room museum with my adult son, three young grandsons, and significant other. My grandsons are serious Titanic fans and, despite their young ages, are very knowledgeable and interested in the subject. First, note that we drove 2+ hours on a cold rainy day to visit this museum, which was located in the back room of an old (think 1950s) jewelry/card store that smelled musty and stale. The only signage was an 8x10 photocopy of a sign with a photo of the Titanic on the front door. While the artifacts were interesting to the children, the display cases were dust-laden and non-interactive. There was one employee (likely the owner) for the entire place (store and museum), and she refused to let my four-year-old grandson use the restroom (I could tell she was lying when she told me that it was broken -- I wish I asked her where she relieves herself when she's at work). While a MA business is not required to let customers use the restroom --- this was clearly a young child with an "emergent" need. We ended up taking him out in the rain and driving a mile or two down the road to a gas station, where the gentleman at the store was very accommodating. Thankfully, my grandson "made it" to the restroom without an accident.
The reason I gave this place one star is because the employee was knowledgeable about the contents of the museum and, if you are a true Titanic fan, you may be willing to grin and bear the musty odor of the place and look beyond the dust to enjoy seeing some Raising the Titanic movie memorabilia and see some interesting artifacts from the Titanic's sister vessels. Despite the fact that we actually paid to walk through this run-down establishment, I could not wait to get outside to breathe the cold rainy air. Thankfully, the children made the best of the visit. After doing further research online, I would recommend visiting the museum in MO or TN instead of this place.
