奥马哈亨利多立动物园的点评
点评：Going to a new zoo is an annual tradition for three generations of girls (age 3-65+) and this year's choice was The Henry Doorly Zoo. Friends had told me that it's wonderful..they sooo undersold it! This zoo is amazing! It's really a full, full day from opening moment to the last guest being chased out the gate. It is not inexpensive and some of the 'extras' in cost are a bit of a surprise but I'd do it again all over again, and then some. The butterfly house was overflowing with beautiful butterflies, along with plenty of education too. The aerial tram gives you a great overview of the majority of the acreage and can be a nice sit down break. The elephant house and yard had multiple generations and they seemed quite pleased with their surroundings; stimulating searches for treats and drinking loads of water, noisily, making the girls giggle. The stingrays are always a big hit with our girls and these proved to be great too; even a new baby in the pool which was fun to watch. The orangutans were up to high climbing shenanigans and other primates were fun too. These are just a few of our highlights. The grounds were immaculate; bringing in your own picnic is welcomed and there are plenty of places to sit (some are even stunning pieces of artwork) and people watch. We ran out of time to see the aquarium and have discussed if it would 'break' our rules to go back to a previous zoo, since we missed the entire aquarium. That's pretty remarkable and hasn't come up before other zoos... This is a truly amazing zoo.
