点评：We have just returned from a fantastic holiday in Sri Lanka. Our guide Elmo made the trip a wonderful experience. Due to flight delays we arrived in Sri Lanka a day late, but Elmo went out of his way to ensure that we did not miss out on any of our tour.
We spent the first few days in the cultural triangle visiting the Rock Fortress of Sigiriya and the temples at Dambulla. We were up very early in the morning to climb the 1,200 steps to the top of the rock and watch the sunrise. Elmo was always punctual with the pick ups. He was very caring and attentive when helping me to climb up to the view point at the top of Sigiriya.
Having noted our interest in the local culture and wildlife of the country, Elmo organised for us to visit a village and learn how the rice and coconuts are processed and used. He also ensured that our journeys to and from attractions were interesting, stopping off at lakes and local markets along the way so that we could get a feel for the Sri Lankan way of life. To make sure that we saw plenty of elephants in the wild, Elmo recommended a specific wildlife park. Watching the baby elephants with the adults was an experience that I will never forget.
During the last few days of our tour we stayed at the beach. Elmo kept in touch, ensuring that we were well cared for. At the end of the holiday he made sure that we were picked up on time and taken to the airport.
Elmo has a vast knowledge of his country which he shares enthusiastically. He is an adaptable, friendly and caring individual. I would not hestitate to recommend him both as a guide and driver when visiting Sri Lanka.
