The Tattie Shack的点评
点评：Went for lunch at The View (which is what the new restaurant attached to the Tattie Shack is called) and, due to the glorious weather, we opted for an outside table.
Having verified that we were at liberty to sit down outside, we were told yes, given menus to peruse and assured that the table would be attended.
So, having waited 15 minutes with no sign of anyone, we were pleased when a staff member arrived to clear away the table and would be “with us in a moment”. Not sure how long a moment is but it appears to be much longer than a minute or, indeed, the next five.So, we left and still no one attending as we drove out.
I appreciate that it was busy but if there are outside tables then they need to be attended or there’s no point.
It’s disappointing to be providing this update because the food is good but, on the last three or four occasions, there have been real issues with the service (eg drinks being ordered and not provided or ordered and not arriving until the cakes were finished even after reminders and it was not so busy on these previous visits).
In summary, the food is good but the intermittent service is a real problem and, sad to say, I’ll be reluctant to return.
