Great dive shop with awesome people
Salt Diver的点评
点评：Salt Diver was the dive shop that was recommended by our Resort (Tides Reach) and was located just "down the beach." What a great outfit!
My family is all certified but we were traveling with some folks (kids) that were doing their check out dives. Salt Diver was able to accommodate both groups AND some of our friends that just wanted to snorkel.
The team Salt Diver has is fantastic. I observed the Instructor's interactions with newbies in the water, in preparation for the dives and in-between dives. Supportive, knowledgeable, encouraging and expert. Awesome. I and my family dove with three different dive masters. All were extremely supportive, knowledgeable and great guides underwater!
We rented full gear and it was in very good working order, in good shape and modern. They were able to accommodate all sorts of requests (shorty wetsuit v full arms & shorts, full suit, dive computer included, etc.).
My 12 year old is scared of sharks and the open ocean. A couple of dives required you to be dropped into the blue and drift onto the reach. Needless to say, she was FREAKED OUT. One of the dive masters calmed her down and held her hand all the way down to depth, at the reef. The amount of confidence that single dive provided her, was incredible!
Net: Salt Diver is AMAZING and I can't wait to dive with them, again.
I would be remiss to NOT reference how amazing the diving is, in and around the Rainbow reef. Everything was 30 minutes away by boat or closer, with an incredible variation of coral, fish and type of dive. While the long time local divers DO lament that the reef is not as amazing as it was 40 years ago, I can confirm that it is the best diving I have EVER done. Better than the Caribbean, better than the Cook Islands, better than the Great Barrier Reef, better than Roatan and better than Hawaii. All hands down.
