Bradford On Avon Bridge的点评
点评：Bradford on Avon is a very beautiful Town with several nice pubs and resturants.
We ate at two, Ravello's Italian and Tutis Indian on the high street. Both were excellent.
The downside of BOA is the traffic. i don't think I've ever experienced such high volumes of traffic passing through a medium sized town before! Coupled with this the footpaths are very narrow in some places, so if you are walking with a dog, as we were, you literally have cars brushing against your trouser leg as you try to keep on the pavement.
There may be some temporary reason for this?, i don't know, but it certainly but a bit of a downer on our two days here
On the plus side, there are some beautiful walks along the River Avon, and the Canal and as previously mentioned the pubs and Resturants we visited were excellent.
We actually stayed at The Barge Inn, right beside the canal. The staff were all very friendly and excellent, but some aspects of the place were looking a bit tired, For example the pub garden beside the canal, grass was long and seating in need of a bit of TLC
The breakfast was excellent but didn't have dinner here as once again menu a bit uninspiring.
Anyone visiting The barge Inn has to register there car for fear of a £100 fine as they have farmed control of the car park out to one of these unscrupulous companies who delight in fining people for little reason.
To be fair, given the traffic issues, i expect the pub does suffer from people just parking there without patronising the establishment, so kind of understand, and there are plenty of notices warning people, but having been on the end of a very unfair fine at a railway station for over-running my time by about 3 minutes when my wife's train was late, i have little or no time for these companies.
All in all we had a really nice stay, but just a couple of negative things that blighted it
