Disappointing all round.

点评：Visited recently in a Friday. Thought we would visit the house first. My husband had a medium sized backpack which he was told to take off and carry, but as we went around the house there were several people with larger bags who quite clearly hadn’t been told. Many of the rooms were closed off; one volunteer told us there were conservation works going on, and another told us it was because of there not being enough volunteers. Didn’t find the house had any sort of WOW factor. Unfortunately, the gardens were devoid of anything other than tulips and blossoms. Then came lunch - we queued for 20 minutes. Wish we hadn’t, as the offering of the Brie and bacon sourdough toastie was appalling. Fatty bacon and a mere slither of Brie. It might have looked more appealing had it had a little bit of a garnish or some crisps, and was certainly not worth the price tag. Won’t return.
