More than a their jobs worth !
Hinton Ampner House and Garden的点评
点评：We had an impromptu visit to this national trust house and gardens . We were camping close by to Winchester and decided to look it up as not visited before. We phoned beforehand and a very helpful lady told us that our motorhome would fit through the gates and there would be plenty of large parking. So good start! We did fit ( just) and as it was towards the end of the afternoon we did get a good parking space - I would advise pre/ booking if on height of day/ busy period.
The staff were helpful on the reception welcome area and we got a ticket to go to the house as closing shortly. ( not explained on phone)
The house was decorated with Christmas children’s story themes - beautiful.
But what was best is a kind gentleman from NT staff offered to take our dogs so we could both visit it. Never happened before - really kind and helpful - perhaps could catch on in other places - a dog nursery!
The rooms were fabulous and with a visit I was told a different theme each year! We then went to have refreshments - there is an enclosed outdoor area for dog walkers but that had closed early due to weather conditions so the staff member in charge said not a problem we could go into the main cafe ( tiled floors) so excellent another very nice gesture! I have a newish nut allergy and the team were very helpful in making sure my cake had No Nuts! Delicious Black Forest slice and coffee and tea all very well presented and despite being the end of the day very cheerfully served . The gardens we didn’t do justice but had a short walk there were Christmas activities dotted about for the families and we said we’d come back when more of the upstairs rooms are open in the house and we can take full enjoyment of the grounds.
Thank you national trust staff that aim to make this experience fantastic not just “nice”

但最棒的是，一位来自国家名胜古迹信托基金会的先生主动提出帮我们照看狗狗，这样我们俩就可以一起参观了。这以前从来没发生过——真是太贴心了——也许其他地方可以借鉴一下——就像一个狗狗托儿所！
房间非常棒，参观的时候我还听说每年都会有不同的主题！之后我们去享用茶点——这里有一个封闭的户外区域供遛狗者使用，但由于天气原因提前关闭了。负责的工作人员说没问题，我们可以去主咖啡厅（铺着瓷砖地板），真是太好了，又是一个非常贴心的举动！我最近对坚果过敏，工作人员非常热心地确保我的蛋糕不含坚果！美味的黑森林蛋糕、咖啡和茶都摆盘精美，而且尽管已经接近尾声，服务依然热情周到。我们没能好好逛逛花园，只是简单地走了一小段。花园里散落着一些适合家庭的圣诞活动。我们说等楼上更多的房间开放后，我们会再来，好好欣赏一下花园。
