Not quite what I was expecting.

点评：Lovely woodland walk, but the entire Island is full of forests one can walk for free. Yes, there is a variety of native plants, but very little summer colour for August. No hanging baskets, no seasonal flower borders with annuals or perennials in the front yard or at the house, no bright inviting flower display at the entrance turning into the property, nothing at the gift shop other than a few flowering trees at the gates to the pool and water lilies. I expected to see flowers, bright brilliant colour throughout our walk. When I think of Veronica's Garden and her lovely paintings, I think plentiful seasonal flowers adorning at least the grounds around her home. I found this property was sadly lacking the beauty that obviously filled her heart. Indigenous plants do have their own beauty but when they are spent, I think to give the garden some appeal one should have complimenting blooming alternatives especially when you're charging for people to see a garden. My daughter and I were disappointed after seeing other gardens on the island and we noticed that there were more eye catching displays around the town than there were in a venue billing itself as a garden.
