点评：As a guide and raconteur, Mario is simply superb. Last October, we did a day trip with him to explore the Valpolicella region followed just last month by a 3-day food tour of Emilia-Romagna - with a plan already in place to do something together again in fall 2026. It’s not just the breadth and wealth of Mario’s knowledge of Italian food, culture, and history that astounds. It’s the charm and kindness with which he provides that information, far more akin to a vivacious outing with a thoughtful friend than a pointed school lesson. Needless to say, when you do a tour there is unavoidably much time spent with the guide outside of your various stops. With someone pedantic, that would be a chore no matter how terrific the tour itself. With Mario, that downtime is just as prized as all the locations he has carefully curated in advance. He is ever warm and open, just as ready and excited for the next adventure as you. It’s the secret ingredient to guarantee the best of times whether single day excursion or multi-day junket.
