Not very family friendly cafe

点评：We visited the park for a birthday treat for my grandson who was turning 3 on the day of the visit
We were a party of 4 adults and 2 children (ages 3 and 2) we had a great time and we all really enjoyed the zoo and activities. However, it all changed when we decided to visit the pizzeria! We settled down in the ‘empty’ restaurant and got out snacks and milk for the 2 year old while we decided what to order. We were promptly approached by a staff member and told that unless our children had allergies they could not eat their own food in the restaurant. We explained that we would all be having pizzas but the little one was a picky eater and had his own snacks and milk, apparently, this is against the rules so we had to pack up and go outside and let the children eat on a bench, whilst the adults forfeited their meals. We decided to cut the visit short as the day was ruined and we had to go elsewhere to find food.
I do appreciate the thinking behind this ruling especially at busy times, however it’s winter the restaurant had one other person in it, we were buying meals (in fact pizza had been promised to the 3 year old birthday boy ) and yet for the sake of one little 2 year old boy, who had paid full price to be in the park, who needed his own snacks and milk we were all made to feel embarrassed and not wanted.
This is not at all family friendly and to add insult to injury after I contacted the park for comment I have had no response !
