点评:I spent an amazing afternoon at the American Museum of Natural History - there’s just so much to see! The Gems and Minerals Collection was incredible, especially the giant geodes and the Star of India sapphire, which is over 563 carats. The giant blue whale in the Ocean Life Hall is breathtaking, and the Big Bang Theater in the Rose Center was fascinating - learning how the universe formed 13 billion years ago really puts things in perspective. I also loved discovering that I’d weigh only 19 pounds on the moon! The dinosaur and mammal exhibits were so realistic and detailed.
The Human Origins and World Cultures exhibits were really eye-opening. It was powerful to learn that the genes linked to skin color make up just a tiny fraction of our DNA. In other words, we’re all basically the same underneath - something the world could definitely use a reminder of.
I spent hours there and still didn’t see it all. It’s an incredible place - fun, educational, and full of wonder. Can’t wait to go back!
