Disappointing - last minute cancellation

点评：We absolutely cannot recommend Bernd’s diving safari. Two weeks before our trip, we were informed that we would need to start from a different location in the Philippines because no one else had signed up for the safari. This was already strange, but we accepted it as Bernd assured us he would arrange all transfers and reimburse the hotels we had booked.
Three days before the start, we received a complete cancellation of the safari – supposedly because the storm Trami and low tide would prevent the ship from going out to sea. That might be true, but it was certainly convenient for him, as we were the only guests, and this allowed him to exit the contract due to ‘force majeure.’
Additionally, he did not reimburse the hotel costs for the night before the safari, despite his previous assurance that he would.
Until the cancellation, the communication was fine; Bernd responded quickly and was friendly. But overall, we really can’t recommend this. We would advise everyone to avoid this safari.
