Golf overplayed and food awful
St. Pierre Golf & Country Club的点评
点评：A group of 40 of us went to St Pierre for our annual golf overnighter! We played the old course on Friday and then the Mathern on Saturday. Pro shop staff and majority of the bar staff upon arrival were friendly.
The old course as usual was in good condition and played tough due to the ground conditions. Clearly they were protecting the greens as all the flags were on the edges of the greens, which made it tougher. As usual overplayed and too many people on the course, meant a 5 hour round.
We bought a couple of ciders at the half way house, 2 bottles of Magners for £17, outrageous.
After golf a few beers and then on to our 3 course meal as pert of the package. Where do I start, oh yes with the starter. I ordered soup, was told that someone else had it, so had to have the potato salad, which was awful. Must be really difficult to get another bowl of soup, maybe it's rationed?
On to main course and had the chicken supreme. It was pathetic. Dry chicken, no sauce, chips and a tomato cut in half! (see photo).
Dessert was a cheesecake, which was ok.
We had a bar tab and was given a code to use. I went to the bar and the bar manager was extremely rude when I asked for two beers on the tab, telling me we can only get it at the restaurants. the poor waiting staff were rushed off their feet, and I get a mouthful from him. To say I was fuming was an understatement. The remaining bar staff were lovely so he really was a stand out idiot!
the room was basic and ok. The shower of the bath was ok, bit old and needs updating.
Breakfast was really nice and plentiful, great bacon.
Played the Mathern on Saturday in a Texas scramble format, again a 5 hour round, which was frustrating. Really liked the course though, preferred it over the old course.
All in all fun trip, rubbish food, overprice half way house and extremely rude bar manager.

我们买了酒吧账单，他们给了我们一个代码。我去了酒吧，当我要求在账单上加两杯啤酒时，酒吧经理非常粗鲁，告诉我只能在餐厅喝。可怜的服务员忙得不可开交，我被他骂了一顿。说我怒不可遏都不足以形容。剩下的酒吧工作人员都很友好，所以他真是个十足的白痴！
房间很简单，还可以。浴室的淋浴还可以，但有点旧，需要翻新。
早餐非常美味丰盛，培根也很棒。
周六在马瑟恩球场打了一场德州争夺赛，又是一轮5小时的比赛，真是令人沮丧。不过我很喜欢这个球场，比起老球场更喜欢它。
总的来说，这是一次有趣的旅行，但食物很垃圾，中途旅馆价格过高，酒吧经理也极其粗鲁。
