Amazing Africa Tours的点评
点评：We went on a 10-day big-5 safari with Geoff Mayes and his Amazing Africa Tours. We started in Ol Pejeta, went to the Oserengoni Sanctuary and finished at the Amazing Mara Camp in the Masai Mara. What do we have to say about our trip? LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION.
The first LOCATION: Geoff put together a superb itinerary for us. We were all struck by the diversity of Kenya as each stop was so different from the last, and each had its own treasures to offer. Such cool destinations. Geoff's experience in Kenya clearly paid off when it came to the itinerary. We would have missed so much if we tried to put it together ourselves.
The second LOCATION: Throughout the 10 days, we ended up finding ourselves in the right place at just the right time. Geoff was able to negotiate with a massive bull elephant to let us spend time with him as the sun went down in Ol Pej. We found ourselves completely alone with a Leopard with its kill in a tree in Oserengoni. And we were constantly the first car to the nearby prides in the Mara. He has great staff and great instincts, and they help get us where we needed to be. Having a private guide paid off here 110%.
And then the last LOCATION has to be in reference to his camp in the Mara. We would wake up, have a quick coffee, and within 15 minutes be with a pride of lions. The next day, after a 15 minute drive from the camp, we would be with a different pride of lions. It really seemed like the location was hand picked for convenience and location to Mara's treasures. As if the location wasn't enough, the camp is awesome - wonderful tented camp with great staff.
You get the full service with Geoff and Amazing Africa Tours. Logistics were incredibly smooth and Geoff was helpful, friendly, super informed and a delight to be around (despite his constant puns, 1 in 5 are funny....yes we kept track....hahah). Having him as our guide truly did give us the experience of a lifetime. We all think that he is the real deal and is a big player in the safari world. Get in now before Geoff becomes too big and busy!
