点评：We love visiting wine regions around the world, but never want the risk of tasting at multiple wineries and having someone not partake due to needing to drive, so we always arrange for a tour or a driver. In Rioja, I've always wanted to stay at the Marques de Riscal. We contacted their concierge asking for assistance to arrange a wine tour for 2 days. Thankfully they booked us with Riojatrek and we spent 2 wonderful days with Diego. On day 1, we visited a vineyard, 3 wineries and a tasting room in the Haro area of Rioja, along with a delicious lunch. This seems like alot, but Deigo made it very relaxing and a very comfortable pace. The visit to the last winery was very special because a young winery employee set up a surprise marriage proposal complete with violinist at an outdoor area adjacent to where we were tasting. It was absolutely beautiful. Our second day with Diego was as terrific as our first day. We visited 2 spectacular wineries, enjoyed an amazing lunch, and had a wonderful time exploring the small streets of Laguardia. The end of our second day with Diego was a very pleasant surprise. He proposed the he take us back to the Marques de Riscal to drop off the wine that we had purchased, but then he encouraged us to travel with him back to his home town of Logrono so we could spend the evening exploring the wonderful and delicious pintxo restaurants in Logrono. He share an app with an outstanding map and pintxo guidelines, as well as making some recommendations. He also made sure I had the contact information for the taxi company to return us to the Marquest de Riscal when we had our fill of pintxo. That was a very nice experience and something that we did not expect. I highly recommend Riojatrek if you want a great tour of Rioja and not have to worry about arranging for a DD as someone in your group or having to drive after wine tasting.
