点评:A sacred island, off the beaten track and well worth a visit. Sadly because of our operators timings, with over an hour catamaran journey from Airlie Beach port, we only had 2 hours on the beach, so didn't manage to take the walks up into the hillside or surrounding areas. However, the beach itself is an amazing place to sit and feel the isolation and complete unspoilt wilderness (apart from the occasional ferries landing a 100 or so passengers every 2 - 3 hours, and the tender bringing people from ferry to shore).
There are some basic facilities including wooden picnic tables/benches here, and a toilet block along a track (best to wear shoes/sandals to and from). The toilets are very dark and obviously feed straight into a septic tank so they do smell a bit given the heat and humidity, but thank goodness they have them.
Keep the beach clean, and the wildlife safe - take your rubbish (EVERYTHING) home with you!!!
