Lovely Villa, arrogant guide...

点评：The Villa itself is spectacular and set in lovely grounds. The guide we had was both rude and arrogant... He was obviously trying to be funny, and when he greeted us and found we were British, he highlighted that we needed the headsets for English translation. I said we were fine without as I had also seen others decline the headsets and they were provided with cards detailing what was in the different rooms. He insisted and kept pushing, not taking no for an answer. I walked past him and he said 'I cant be bothered speaking English just for you' handing my wife the card we were happy with then 'you spent 40 bucks to come here and wont understand a thing I say'... after which he made a comment in German which caused other visitors to giggle - probably something rude or derogatory about me... The guide wore glasses, spoke very good English. We were quite happy reading about each room off the card, and most places we visit, we avoid guided tours as they can be long winded and at times boring, but there is no option other than a guided tour at the Villa.
