Statia Divers went above and beyond my expectations!

点评：We had an incredible week of diving with Statia Divers out of Golden Rock Resort in Et. Eustatius (Statia). The dive shop was absolutely fabulous to work with ahead of time and during our stay. My main contact was Sjouke Brunia and he was a gem! Statia Divers offer VIP service which included washing of our gear nightly (was never stinky or wet the next day!), setting up our gear in the morning, changing gear to new tanks after the first dive, and bountiful snacks and drinks between dives (they even had Gluten Free snacks for those few that needed them!). The boat, the gear, and the shop were all very clean and well taken care of. Every member of the staff was qualified and professional and an absolute joy to dive with! The shuttle van service between the resort and the port was timely, comfortable and clean. But what you really want to know about is the diving .... the diving was absolutely outstanding!!! The dive sites are almost untouched at this time. I would like to recommend everyone to go there in to help the dive shop/island, but I really don't want everyone to go there and spoil it - it's so unharmed and full of life right now! Quite a conundrum. Seriously, I have never seen so much marine life in one place. Many turtles, sting rays, jaw fish, garden eels, angel fish, eels, drum fish, amazing coral formations, and so much more! The marine life is not yet timid of the divers which offers an incredible opportunity to get up close and really watch their behavior. I plan on returning soon so I can experience this again before the word gets out and everyone goes to dive there. Absolutely worth the extra island hop.
We did stay at Golden Rock Resort as well and it was equally fantastic. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the resort itself is stunning. I recommend this resort for divers as well as non-divers. It's definitely a 5-star experience!

我们也住过金岩度假村，感觉同样棒极了。工作人员非常友好热情，度假村本身也美得令人窒息。我推荐这个度假村给潜水员和非潜水员。这绝对是一次五星级的体验！
