点评：This place is an absolute gem. I was in Kilkenny for a few days with my 5 year old, staying in the Newpark Hotel. I looked up some things to do in the area and came across the reptile zoo. I am SO glad we went. The tickets were very reasonably priced and we had an absolute ball. My Son LOVED it. The demonstrations were a massive hit with him, as well as just being able to wander around at our own pace for as long as we wanted. There was a great variety of different snakes, lizards, tortoises, and even alligators/crocs.
The demonstrations were incredible for me too, as I did something I never in a million years thought I would do. I am absolutely terrified of spiders, but I pushed through my phobia and actually HELD ONE. The things we do for our kids, eh?? I can't remember the chap's name who was doing the demonstrations, but even though he said he was just an intern, he didn't seem like it. He was so knowledgeable, and I guess his calming presence helped me to face my lifelong fear 😅. I can't believe I actually held a tarantula, was a massive deal for me. I wanted to show my Son that they aren't so scary, and I didn't want to pass on my fear to him. I hope I succeeded!
Great zoo, overall great experience, we will definitely be back! 🕷️
