Comfortable and relaxing accommodation among the grape vines

点评：Ridgemill Estate in Severnlea, just south of Stanthorpe, is a flourishing vineyard which offers a dozen chalets or cabins for two. and some larger accommodation. Our chalet was, I am sure, typical. The centre piece is a large and comfortable bed, and in front of it a 2.5 seater sofa that faces out through large glass windows {screened} towards the vines. On the right is the kitchenette and on the left is the wood fire. Behind the bed on one side is the wardrobe and fridge (full size), and on the other is the bathroom and toilet. As well as the wood fire there is an air conditioner.
The kitchen is provisioned with crockery, cutlery and cooking wares, and with breakfast foods, including milk and apple juice, apples, and a bottle of wine.
Very nice indeed. One afternoon we attended a generous and well designed tasting of a dozen or so wines made here, and learned much from the sommelier. We also enjoyed a cheese and meat platter.
We enjoyed the company of the cats, goats, dog, and cattle.
The views from our room and on our walks were photogenic. The sunsets beautiful.
Martin and all the staff were very welcoming and helpful. Easy to see why the estate is flourishing.
