Visually a striking building, but even better if you can attend an event

点评：Centrally located on the waterfront, this is a concert hall, an exhibition and conference space, with a restaurant and a shop selling Icelandic merchandise.
People will first notice the striking two box glass design that incorporates glass of different colours and LED lights that move and change colours at night. One box holds the inner box of the main purpose built concert hall for the Symphony and Opera while the second holds the rest.
Visually interesting inside and outside, but perhaps best appreciated if you see an event. We saw the Iceland Symphony Orchestra one evening and the price was modest for a great show. Don’t worry about being under dressed as it was not stuffy.
If you have less time, there is also an Iceland volcano movie that plays every 15 minutes in the lower level. You can buy tickets from the lobby desk or see what other shows (not just symphony) may fit your schedule such as a comedy show that was running while we were there.
