点评：We have joined Steven in his hide twice; the first time we knew might be a quieter day out of season, yet it paid off with a kingfisher coming to perch less than 3 metres in front of the hide. The second time, the action was practically non-stop, with almost 20 visits of kingfishers perching and fishing. I got some of the best shots of my life on that day. Other birds that can be seen around the hide include wrens, nuthatches, cettis warblers, robins, song thrushes, tree creepers, and the majority of the tit family. It was a seriously good experience with Steven's knowledge and the birding opportunities. The hide has almost everything you will need, and the cafe nearby finishes it off with toilets and food. The surrounding area is probably one of the most striking landscapes you can get, with settlements surrounding it. For a fairly inexperienced photographer like me, Steven was a great help, coming with his tips and general knowledge about all things camera. I would definitely recommend this to any photographer or birder, no matter your interest or skill level.
