点评：Marble Hill House is an 18th-century villa built for Henrietta Howard, Countess of Suffolk and mistress of King George II. Henrietta was an intelligent and well-educated woman whose circle of friends included prominent literature figures as the poet Alexander Pope and the satirist Jonathan Swift.
Visitors to the house can enjoy for free the beautiful rooms, the antique furniture, and the lovely Italian decorative paintings. They can also explore the surrounding Marble Hill Park, which has been restored and contains a grotto, a cafe, and playgrounds. The house is just a 35-minute walk away from Richmond station and on the way you can go for a walk by the river and take in the gorgeous views of Richmond Hill.
I would say that you're unlikely to spend more than an hour in the house itself, but you can easily spend a couple of hours in the area if you decide to explore the surrounding park and riverside. If you have time, I recommend you also check out nearby Orleans Gallery, which is also free to visit.
