点评：A friend of mine has some old paperweights. I told him I'd visited Peter Holmes - the "Famous Designer and Maker of Art Glass Paperweights" - when he had his former workshop in Hawick; Peter and his son Andrew had since re-located to Selkirk to set up Holmes Glass. As it happened, I could "pass by" and ask Peter about my friend's collection. I was delighted that Peter's son, Andrew, was also there when I arrived - an excellent "tea and biscuits" break on my way home and VERY INFORMATIVE - details of which I've passed on to my friend. Peter & Andrew are now offering tutorials on glass-making, which is yet another string to their bow. I highly recommend a visit if you are in the area and, if you have time, take up the tutorial offer...where else will you find something like this, in this day and age?
