Mt. Rainier Scenic Railroad的点评
点评：My wife and I took the early brunch train on a very hot Sunday. It was a beautiful drive to and from the Elbe, WA train station. The boarding process went smoothly to our dining car table with our delicious box lunch. There were plenty of cold drinks to be had and surprisingly excellent coffee. We shared our table with a friendly couple, coincidentally, from our area north of Seattle. Soon we were chugging off into the forest. Our ‘Conductor’ Eric was very informative about the history and future plans for the railroad and museum, which they hope to reopen next year. Eric’s local knowledge was excellent considering he had moved to this area from Pennsylvania only a week earlier.
The views of forest, rivers and Mount Rainier were most beautiful and enjoyable as we leisurely rode along the tracks. We plan to come back with friends to help support this non-profit organization keep this piece of history alive. This adventure was well worth the long mountain drive there and back again.
