点评：I had an awful experience on the Elbe Train, and I definitely do not recommend it.
First of all, the *scenery was incredibly disappointing*. Most of the ride was spent passing by *people's backyards* or on the highway we'd just driven on, which was nothing like the picturesque experience they advertise. You can literally drove east on Hwy 7, only to take the train back West on the same section of road.
To make matters worse, the train horn was unbearably loud, and it went off constantly, which really took away from any potential enjoyment of the ride. The horn scared my son and now he's afraid of trains (thanks for that!). Inside the train was cold and uncomfortable, making the whole experience even more unpleasant. The train was dirty and gross. It smelled musty which made my husband's mold allergies go crazy. The staff were also rude and unhelpful, which added to the frustration. They're all just volunteers so there's no way to enforce professional or helpful behavior.
We sat near another family and they had a similar perspective. This train is all hyped up because we all knew it when we were kids, but it is not the same anymore. *Don't come here expecting the experience you had as a kid* - and if your kids have mold allergies or asthma, I'd suggest avoiding this.
On top of all that, the cost was ridiculously high for what we got. I definitely feel like I wasted my time and money, and I won't be coming back. I know people who live down here and they say the new owners are basically destroying the entire area and have a "corporate mentality". I regret giving them my money and will tell everyone I know how the train ride is a waste of money and the owners are bad neighbors.
