Great little venue that's amazing for accessibility

点评：We visited today to see the first preview showing of Sam Wu is not afraid of ghosts. Firstly the show was great, my son really enjoyed it and so did we. The cast were energetic and fun, and the set looked great.
But my main praise for this fantastic venue is for its disabled accessibility. My son broke his leg a few weeks ago and is temporarily in a wheelchair. We booked the show quite late on and when we called to book (you can't book access tickets online) the lady on the box office was great, very helpful and friendly.
Earlier today I got a call from the venue to check if everything was OK access wise ahead of our visit, and see if we had any further needs before we came, including whether we'd need use of the lift (its operated by code so only staff can operate it). Earlier this week I also found an amazing accessibility guide online which explains every facet of the venue and includes photos so you know what to expect.
When we got to the venue, we found our way to the indoor play area which was nicely laid out and spacious, my son could join in with the activities. Then when it was nearly time for the show to start one of the duty managers found us and escorted us upstairs to our seats, we were on the aisle so she radioed the stage manager and the cast to let them know he was there (they come down into the audience) and to be careful of his leg when coming past. At the end of the show someone came to meet us and escorted us back down.
Every member of staff we encountered was extremely friendly and helpful.
From a recent (and luckily temporary) wheelchair pushing parent, a huge thank you to the polka team for an amazing venue and stress free visit. Cannot recommend this place more for both able bodied and disabled visitors.
