National Science and Media Museum的点评
点评：I have visited the museum many times in the past and was eager to visit following the £6million refurb. To say it was a let-down would be a massive understatement.
Considering it has been closed since June 2023 and with a huge budget spent on it, I was expecting great things. Not only was it worse than before, but the things that were previously broken were still broken and there was nothing else there!
Where has that budget gone? Who’s pockets did it line?? As it certainly wasn’t spent on the museum. It would appear it was spent on a lift and the rest on the director.
Before the relaunch they promised: ‘The museum will expand to give visitors state-of-the-art collections to ground breaking temporary exhibitions and the organisers are working hard to make sure there is something for everyone’
Nothing there! Apart from a very stripped-down set of exhibits of some old cameras that have been in the basement for years and looking tired and scruffy at best.
What an absolute joke, waste of time and money (spent getting there and for parking) and in the expensive café with miserable staff.
Although it has to be said, it is some achievement to have an expensive revamp and end up worse than before.
