Disappointed in Black Market, Especially Michelle

点评：My husband and I attended a winemaker series in Penticton at Sociale Restaurant. We were really looking forward to the wine tasting and dinner because we really like red wine. We arrived and were told that we were seated at the winemakers table. We proceeded to take our seats and were confronted by Michelle, one of the owners, telling us that we needed to move to another table. I don't think I have encountered anyone so rude. I told her we were told to seat here but were flexible. I reached out to Tyler Sociale owner to tell him we were being asked to move tables. He asked me who said that and I pointed to Michelle. He waited to speak to her and told her that I needed to be at a low top table. We are regulars at Sociale and Tyler and his family are neighbours. My husband and I picked seats at the end of the table to be accommodating. My assessment of Michelle is that she lacks social intelligence. In other words, whose house is she is? In my opinion all of the wineries loyalty is based on relationships. During the dinner, she popped by to chat with someone she knew sitting opposite me and proceeded to take a selfie. She ignored me completely and missed the opportunity to apologize! Clearly she doesn't understand the importance of relationships. Later during the dinner, her husband Rob popped by. He was very respectful and engaging. He was modeling what good behaviour looks like. I would give him 5 stars and his wife zero. We arrived with such high expectations but sadly we will not support them.
